Register for education sector hazard training and your workplace/school board will be well on its way to complying with joint health and safety committee (JHSC) training obligations.
What: Education Sector JHSC Certification Part II Training
(Workplace-Specific Hazard Training)
When: April 23 & 24 and April 29 & 30, 2014
Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act
requires almost every provincially-regulated workplace with 20 or more employees or a designated substance on site to establish a JHSC.
Employers must ensure at least two members of any JHSC, one representing workers and one representing the employer, become certified. To become certified, JHSC members must complete both Basic Certification Training (Part I) and Workplace-Specific Hazard Training (Part II).
The WHSC Education Sector JHSC Certification Part II Training
is designed to meet the hazard information needs of workplaces typical in this sector. To further meet the scheduling needs of the education sector this training will be delivered over two weeks (two days training each week).
