OHCOW, WHSC to co-host conference focused on MSD prevention
Musculoskeletal disorders continue to plague Ontario workers. They may not end life, they may not grab headlines, but they certainly make life difficult for those affected. The pain associated with MSDs is often debilitating.
Although efforts to prevent this suffering continue, many workers and their representatives know so much more could and should be done.
To this end, and in support of Global Ergonomics Month, the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers (OHCOW) and Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) will be co-hosting a conference to explore the many ways to prevent one of the most common sources of worker injury in this province.
Sunday, October 25, 2015, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (followed by a reception)
Plenary and workshops:
Monday, October 26, 2015, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sheraton Hamilton Hotel, 116 King Street West, Hamilton, Ontario
Worker health and safety activists and their union representatives
Agenda details and registration information to follow shortly.
As the only two worker-oriented, labour-endorsed organizations in Ontario’s health and safety system, OHCOW and WHSC have long partnered to provide workers, their representatives and other workplace parties a unique but complementary set of occupational health and safety services.
