Workers and their representatives
For more than 20 years, this unique training experience has empowered participants with knowledge and confidence to return to their workplace and/or community and get active or step up their involvement. Many participants return year after year to further build their capacity to promote healthier and safer workplaces and support injured workers and their families.
Training developed by the Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) and the Ontario Federation of Labour Occupational Disease Response Team (OFL-ODRT) is used exclusively. Health and safety training programs are delivered by WHSC-trained instructors.
Participants can choose to participate in one of the following programs:
WHSC Level 1 Basic Occupational Health & Safety Awareness
WHSC Level II Committees Federal
WHSC Composite Program—Confronting Bullying, Harassment, Mental Distress and Violence in the Workplace
OFL-ODRT WSIB Program Level 1 & 2
OFL-ODRT Level 3—Appeals & Dispute Resolution
OFL-ODRT Level 6—Occupational Disease
Organizers of this training opportunity encourage participants to register now as classes are filled on a first come first serve basis.
