For more than 20 years, this unique training experience has empowered participants with knowledge and confidence to return to their workplace and/or community and get active or step up their involvement. Many participants return year after year to further build their capacity to promote healthier and safer workplaces and support injured workers and their families.
Training developed by the Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) and the Ontario Federation of Labour Occupational Disease Response Team (OFL-ODRT) is used exclusively. Health and safety training programs are delivered by WHSC-trained instructors.
Participants must select to participate in one of the following programs:
WHSC Level 1 Basic Occupational Health & Safety Awareness
WHSC Level II Law Provincial
WHSC Enhancing the Skills of Joint Committee Worker Members
(New consolidated program includes Documenting Health & Safety, Appeals, Occupational Disease and Hygiene Monitoring)
OFL-ODRT WSIB Program Level 1 & 2
OFL-ODRT Advanced WSIB Advocacy Skills
OFL-ODRT Accommodating & Transitioning Injured & Restrictive Workers
