Windsor & District Labour Council 2016 Health & Safety Conference
Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 through Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016
Workers, worker representatives, health, safety and compensation advocates
This conference offers a unique environment where like-minded individuals can learn more about specific health, safety and compensation issues. Equally important, participants are encouraged to share their challenges and success stories sure to inspire future activism and advocacy
Conference participants will benefit from a range of workshops many aimed at renewing health and safety prevention strategies
on key health impacts such as the musculoskeletal injuries, occupational disease, and workplace violence and harassment. Others are designed to further empower compensation advocates who support affected workers and their families.
The health and safety programs used during conference workshops are developed by the Workers Health & Safety Centre
(WHSC). Workers compensation-related workshop programs are developed by the Ontario Federation of Labour Occupational Disease Response Team

The WHSC offers many other training programs

helping them to better understand their roles in the pursuit of prevention.

with the Windsor & District Labour Council to offer the WHSC Level I Occupational Health & Safety training and Level II Joint Health and Safety Committees training. These programs are scheduled to run in Windsor on Tuesday evenings beginning October 4, 2016 for ten weeks.
