Changes to Ontario health and safety law will require workers and supervisors to complete basic occupational health and safety awareness training.
Ontario Regulation 297/13—Occupational Health and Safety Training and Awareness
was published on November 15, 2013. The regulation outlines the specific content requirements for both worker and supervisor occupational health and safety awareness training and various employer duties pertaining to maintenance and provision of records. These training requirements and other obligations will come into force on July 1, 2014.
