Ontario health and safety law requires employers to ensure at least two members of a JHSC, one representing workers and one management, become certified. To become certified, JHSC members must complete both Basic Certification Training
(Part I) and Workplace-Specific Hazard Training
Employers have many other health and safety training obligations
working at heights
supervisor awareness and competency
violence and harassment
confined space entry, and
mobile equipment operator competency.
As Ontario’s legally designated training centre specializing in occupational health and safety, the WHSC offers programs to help your workplace comply with these obligations…and much more.
