With enough participants and an appropriate training venue, WHSC can even deliver training on site saving you money and time.

Falls from heights are the leading cause of worker injury and death in the construction sector. To help stop these preventable tragedies, new regulatory changes in Ontario require employers to ensure untrained or inadequately trained construction workers complete a Ministry of Labour (MOL)-approved, working at heights training program before they can work at heights and use fall protection equipment and systems.

This mandatory training requirement came into force April 1, 2015. Fall protection includes travel restraint systems, fall restricting systems, fall arrest systems, safety nets and work belts or safety belts.

WHSC Working at Heights training was one of the first to receive MOL approval

WHSC executive director is understandably proud of the WHSC program and our ability to ensure anyone who needs this potentially life-saving training has access to it. “When it comes to meeting training standards and ensuring their timely delivery, WHSC has demonstrated experience and capacity,” says Killham.

“Independent research, our constituents and clients have all also validated our worker-to-worker delivery model,” adds Killham. “WHSC-trained instructors provide us the reach we need and the assurance of participant learning. Drawn directly from Ontario’s workplaces and work sites, our instructors bring real world experience helping to make the learning environment we provide both relevant and engaging.”

After successfully completing our program, participants receive a WHSC record of training card valid for three years. And because WHSC keeps all records of training, WHSC can provide replacement cards and complete training transcripts upon request.
