Working at Heights training ready for French audience

Working at Heights training participants
The WHSC has again responded to the significant demand for Working at Heights training — this time with new French-language training materials.

The newly-translated La formation de travailler en hauteur, like the WHSC English Working at Heights program, is Ministry of Labour (MOL)-approved for delivery across Ontario. This is an important next step in our continued efforts to expand capacity to facilitate compliance with this life-saving training requirement.

Falls from heights are the leading cause of traumatic worker deaths and critical injuries in construction.

As of April 1, 2015, Ontario regulation requires employers to ensure untrained or inadequately trained construction workers complete a Ministry of Labour-approved, working at heights training program before they work at heights and use fall protection equipment and systems.

WHSC was one of the first organizations to be approved by the MOL. From the outset we have offered scheduled programs in communities throughout Ontario, adding new courses almost daily as existing courses fill.

With enough participants and an appropriate training venue we are also able to work with construction sector unions and employers to bring training to you. And this now includes French training materials for participants and program delivery by a WHSC-qualified French-speaking instructor.
