Certification Renewal

The WHSC proudly offers Ontario's first re-certification training program for existing certified reps. We understand as many do, certification renewal, in practice or in law, is fundamental to most professions, particularly those responsible for the well-being of others. As yet the law does not require this training. However, designed to be taken annually, this one-day program will set the standard for workplaces looking to ensure their health and safety training program is reflective of evolving workplace hazards, the current regulations that govern them and our expanding knowledge of both.

Specifically, WHSC Certification Renewal will equip certified representatives to: evaluate changes to the working environment and their potential for altered or newly created hazards; review the workplace health and safety program, including the identification, assessment and control of hazards, with an eye to making sound recommendations for health and safety improvement; better integrate the overall workplace health and safety program with health and safety policy to ensure the real-world applicability and success of both.

Program discussion will also focus on emerging health and safety issues, new science, technological advances, changes to health and safety law and relevant industry standards.
