Director, Training Services

Reporting to WHSC’s Executive Director, and assisted by the Manager, Training Services, this position oversees the Training Services department and management of Training Services support staff and service representatives across the province. Together, Training Services works to retain existing labour constituent and workplace training clients, find new ones, and coordinate the delivery of both WHSC-scheduled training and client in-house training. To facilitate this training, WHSC Training Services also qualifies, mentors, and updates our program instructors. Finally, Training Services works with constituents and clients to help determine health and safety training and information needs by offering among things, our free training compliance audits, and an inquiry service. Other duties of the Director, Training Services include business planning and budgeting, developing a long-term training plan for the organization, and providing an operational perspective on broader strategies and organization direction.

Administrative Assistant (Information Services, Markham)

Excellence in graphic layout and design, both print and digital, are absolutely essential to the work of administrative assistants in the Workers Health and Safety Centre’s Information Services group. The group produces a variety of marketing and informational products for the organization. Administrative assistants play a big part in helping to shape these communications. The successful candidate will be proficient in Adobe software applications such as In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Acrobat DC. Other requirements include proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, plus familiarity with website content management systems, email publications and list management.

Administrative Assistant (Training Services, Sarnia)

Demonstrated knowledge of office administration, word processing and records maintenance are among the core skill sets required for this position. The successful candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Dynamics – the CRM platform Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) uses to manage its client and membership databases. As our clients, constituents and their training records are vital to WHSC, other required knowledge and skills include, excellent communication skills, attention to accuracy and detail and a capacity to work collaboratively. Finally, a college diploma or equivalent experience in office administration is a must.
