Workers Health & Safety Centre

WHSC is now offering much needed first aid and CRP training

FIRST AID AND CPR TRAINING

As an official Red Cross First Aid and CPR training partner, Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) is now offering much needed comprehensive first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training to all workplace parties (workers, their representatives, supervisors and employers), students and to those with general personal interest. Gain the skills and knowledge to help save a life.

Did you know all businesses covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act are required to have first aid equipment, facilities and trained personnel in all workplaces? WHSC’s delivery of Red Cross training meets the legislative requirements and is WSIB-approved while offering the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). In addition, requirements for Transport Canada as outlined in the Transport Publication (TP) 13008 E are also met where needed.

First aid certification covers a wide range of topics and skills to provide immediate care for injuries or illnesses until professional medical help arrives. Depending on your needs or interests, first aid training can encompass:

  • Respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Head and spine injuries
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Wound care
  • Poisons including opioids
  • As well as airway, medical and environmental emergencies.

Training Programs

As Ontario’s official government-designated occupational health and safety training centre, WHSC offers a suite of first aid and CPR training programs. Courses take place in-person as first aid certification training is based on applied learning. Start with quality training. See your training options below.

Onsite Training

Benefits of onsite training:
