Workers Health & Safety Centre

How to keep Ontario open and safe? WHSC post stage 3 webinar

What guided Ontario’s decision to close and now reopen our economy? What might trigger another shutdown? And how can Ontario workplaces help avoid this disastrous consequence?

These questions and more are the subject of this episode of Workers Health & Safety Centre’s Confronting COVID-19 webinar series.

As the Ontario government moves into stage three of their reopening framework we think it important to look back and more importantly look forward. We examine how public health authorities are tracking transmission rates and the role workplace health and safety measures can play in helping keep these rates from exploding exponentially.

We need only look south of our boarder to know what can happen when the reopening of an economy does not keep an eye on the reproduction rate of this dreaded disease and much needed health and safety protocols to combat it. Now is the time to redouble our efforts to learn and act on every reasonable precaution necessary to safeguard lives and livelihoods.
